The concept has been picked up by an anti-utilitarian group of french social theorists M.A.U.S.S. and the theory of gift of the French anthropologist Alain Caillé wiki (2000) referring to Marcel Mauss (1966). It was recently developed further by the German sociologist Frank Adloff (2016) and popularized by the convivialist manifesto since 2014.
